PRELIMINARY EVENT/ FINALS EVENT
All ensembles will be performing in our preliminary event within their respective classes. Classes have been fairly balanced based on the registrants for this year’s event. You might be in a higher class than you are used to. This is due to the large number of similarly sized bands at SVMI. After the preliminary awards, we will bring the directors of the class winners (5 bands) and the next four highest scores as wildcards to the track to draw for performance order for finals. The wildcard representatives will draw for first four performance spots, the five class winners will draw for the final five performance spots. Finals Awards will be at ~9:45pm.

VIDEO PASSES
A roped off area will be provided to the left of the pressbox (looking at the pressbox from the field) for a videographer provided by each band. A video pass will be provided in the registration packet for this person to have when utilizing this area.
REGISTRATION
Registration will be located at the front loop of the school building (between the two stop lights on Garbers Church Road). Wristbands will be given to staff, chaperones, pit crew and performers (anyone arriving with the buses and equipment vehicles). All others will need to purchase tickets at the gate. From this point the registration coordinator will direct you to your parking location. Please do not have vehicles that are not buses or equipment trucks in the band parking area. We will be limited in available space. We may ask your equipment vehicles and/or buses to relocate after your performance to a nearby lot if we are lacking in parking space.
PARKING
Bus and equipment vehicle parking will be located on the south side of the school (for most bands) by the tennis courts. This is conveniently close to the warm up. Spectator parking will be located on the North side of the school closest to the stadium. Pit Equipment transport trailers are available for each band. Equipment vehicles/ buses may be asked to move after your performance.
GUIDES
Student Guides will be assigned to each band. They will meet you at registration when your buses pull into the front loop and will be available to assist you throughout your time on campus. They will check in with you if you make finals, but will not remain with you throughout finals.
WARM UP
Each band will be assigned a warm up area prior to their prelims performance. Please use this space in your scheduled time slot. If you would like to do a visual warmup prior to this, please find a patch of grass not within the official warm up areas. For finals, we will use an open warm up format. Please be respectful of each other. Multiple bands *can* fit in the warm up areas used during prelims. Front Ensembles may warm up next to their equipment vehicles in the equipment lot, as long as the flow of traffic is maintained for vehicles.
FIELD ENTRY/ EXIT
Field entry will be on the bottom right corner (Side B/Stage Left) facing the field from the press box. Field exit will be the top left corner (Side A/Stage Right) facing the field from the press box. A map is located at this link.
DIRECTOR/ STAFF/ DRIVER HOSPITALITY
We offer a highly popular hospitality tent for directors, staff, and bus drivers! It is conveniently located near the field for easy viewing of performances. Looking at the field it will be in the back left corner (Side A), accessible along the path from the visitor bleachers as shown on map.
CHANGING ROOMS/ RESTROOMS
Restroom areas will be available in our building on the bus parking side of the complex for changing. Please be quick during this process. Please make every effort to arrive dressed in your uniforms if you are local so we can limit those inside the building. Our changing areas are not very spacious, so we need to limit this use as much as possible.
JUDGES COMMENTS
Judges' comments will be available on Competition Suite this year. Correspondence should come from VMBC regarding access.
