Directors Notes
Please fill out day of contest information HERE
This will help prepare for your arrival on Saturday. Also, please don't forget to fill out and return The Announcer's Sheet.
Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event.
I have new Concessions Personnel for this year's event. Unfortunately, they did not feel prepared to work with pre-orders for Concessions. That being said, if you want to have your students look at the Concessions Menu and put together a list, you can forward that list to me, along with your approximate timing for food, and I will forward that list to my Concessions Team. We will do our best to accommodate your groups as quickly as possible. Thank you for supporting us through visiting our Concession Stand. In addition to our main stand, we will also have two vendors on site, Kona Ice will be here along with another vendor selling Funnel Cakes and Fried Oreos.
Buses and Equipment Vehicles will enter the school from Lee-Davis Road. We will have signs and volunteers to direct you. Buses should enter the bus loop at the upper end of the stadium parking lot and proceed to our Registration Table in the Bus Loop. Once you are checked in, we will direct your buses to their designated parking area in the Stadium Lot. Our Group 1, 2, and 3 Buses will park in the stadium lot. Our Group 4 and 5 Buses will remain in the Bus Loop. Equipment vehicles will enter the lower end of the Stadium Lot and will be staged in that lot. This should provide you with easier access to your equipment than in previous years. I have included a map that shows the bus/trailer parking in the Stadium Lot.
Spectator Parking is available at Calabash Seafood (Now Closed) across from the school on Lee Davis Road and at Bell Creek Middle School (right next to the High School). We have admissions gates that are accessible from each of the parking areas.
Bands will enter the stadium from the front right corner (Side 2) & exit the field through the back left corner (Side 1). Front Ensemble percussion IS ALLOWED to move with your group through warmup, HOWEVER the final path to the stadium can be a bit narrow to navigate for the largest items. Please check out this pathway between Warm Up C & the gate before deciding on what to do for your group. We do offer a large grassy area nearby the loading zone & closer to the stadium for Front Ensemble warmup if you choose to take that route. Your Band Guides will direct your Front Ensemble to the warm-up area as needed.
It is very important that all bands face away from the stadium while warming up, but it is ABSOLUTELY VITAL that bands warming up in Warm-Up Zone C face away from the stadium during their time. Warm-Up C is the closest to the stadium. Please be mindful of this & keep instruments pointed away from the stadium in respect of the bands performing on-field.
A logistics schedule with warm-up zone assignments is available at the link on the main page.
We do reserve the right to make adjustments to warm-up zones the day of the event but will attempt to keep them as listed unless absolutely necessary. Mutual respect as it relates to leaving warm-up on-time will be key on Saturday as many of our warm-up times end at the same time as another group's time begins. Hopefully the 45 minutes allotted helps keep things flowing without anyone overstaying their welcome.
Spectator Admission is $10/Adults & $5/Students(5-12) & Seniors(65+). Kids under 5 are admitted free of charge.
